Incorporated in 2007, Makini Construction and Engineering Ltd is a limited liability company currently engaging in building construction, road construction, civil works, water works, transportation of goods, and the quarrying of limestone building blocks in Kilifi. However, the company was originally founded in 2005 as a partnership based in Mombasa. Completed projects range from single-family residential houses to apartment blocks and schools. Plans are currently underway to expand the portfolio to include the manufacturing of a wide range of building materials.
The company prides itself in having highly skilled directors who are registered professionals in the fields of IT and Accountancy. They oversee a highly experienced workforce of key technical people including technicians, foremen, builders, tradesmen, and other supporting staff.

Construction is our means to an end, and never an end in itself. It is our tool for value management, which in turn leads to value optimization. It is unworthy if it fails to deliver value for money and improve the quality of life to the end users. To this end we have put in place Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) encompassing both office and site management procedures that are strictly adhered to by our directors and employees alike. We aim to achieve ISO certification in the next few years.
